PROJECTS

LINDA 917

Linda 917 is a New York band driven and led by Swedish singer and composer Alicia Lindberg. In this new project, Lindberg explores different ways of combining genres and structures to create a unique blend of Swedish pop music and experimental music based on improvisation. Rooted in Jazz & improvisational music, Alicia Lindberg developed her own microgenre of lyrical pop and experimental jazz, where she writes immersive stories and melodies that take the listener on a new adventure with each composition.

Together, the members of Linda 917, explore new textural combinations through the pairing of composed and improvised material. This sonic navigation is deepened further by the use of effects pedals, which allows the music to feel open and invite the audience to experience the story uniquely each time.

Coralia

Coralia is a Brooklyn based duo consisting of cellist Ceridwen McCooey and vocalist Alicia Lindberg. Both composer-performer’s in their own right, the two come together to create a unified voice that is centered around the concept of Kärna, a Swedish term that means core

Lindberg and McCooey live in a electroacoustic sphere, where they recontextualise Swedish and Irish folk into an electronic and improvisatory sound world. Weaving in and out of a unison, their blend of cello, voices and electronics is ethereal and inherently feminine.

LORA VOCAL GROUP

LORA is a vocal improvisation group based in Malmö, Sweden consisting of Ronja Rose Andersson, Olga Denward, Alicia Lindberg, and Lydia Cronberg

This collective started when Ronja Rose Andersson, Olga Denward, Alicia Lindberg, and Lydia Cronberg came together to make music inspired by traditional folk singing and put it in a contemporary improvisational context. The group uses elements of jazz, folk, and choral music to develop their own arrangements, drawing heavily on improvisational music. The members of the collective vary as the group members are spread out across the world.

The constellation places emphasis on free vocal improvisation and the state of liberation this music requires of the performers. Together they create a musical experience that cannot be replicated outside of the present time. They intertwine their unique voices and personal narratives, creating a captivating and novel musical experience for their audience.
