
Alicia Lindberg is a Swedish singer-songwriter, producer, and improviser emerging from the experimental and underground music scene in New York. Her voice stands out as a singular blend of pop production, experimental electronic music, and vocal improvisation. Under her artistic alias and adventorous ensemble project LINDA 917, she immerses herself in new explorations of abstract improvisation and composition using electronic effects to create a unique space where Scandinavian pop and improvisation coexist and build the foundation on which she tells her intriguing and personal stories. This distinct sound is present across her various projects, from her artistic alias and adventurous ensemble project LINDA 917, to electronic music production, film scoring and collaborations within larger ensemble works.
Lindberg’s 2022 debut album, Before You Go, was voted one of the top 10 albums of the year by Jazzmagazine Orkesterjournalen and described as ”a unique, modern approach to the vocal tradition.” Her music has been featured at the Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Ystad Jazz Festivals, and she has been recognized as a finalist in the 2022 Ella Fitzgerald Vocal Competition and a selectee for the Jazz Education Network’s 2025 Young Composers Showcase.
Since her debut album Before You Go in 2022, Alicia Lindberg has released 2 singles, END and Rabbit Hole and continued her explorations, showcasing her work on the international underground and experimental scene in new yoek, composing and producing for film and commercial work, and taking part in various larger ensemble works from composers like Steven Long, Isaac Grossman, Antoni Mora, and the US premiere of Carla Bley’s Escalator Over The Hill. Under the mentorship of celebrated New York composers, producers, and improvisers like Wendy Eisenberg, Jack DeBoe, Sara Serpa, and Kaisa Mäensivu, Alicia wrote the material for her second album, Online, slated for release in the summer of 2026.
