BIO

Alicia Lindberg is a Swedish experimental singer/songwriter based in Brooklyn. Lindberg’s unique musical voice effortlessly blends the textural complexities of improvised music with the lyricism of contemporary pop. Her work ranges from smaller ensemble works and arrangements that challenge and broaden the jazz and contemporary music genre, to electronic music production for film, sound design and pop production.

With her ensemble project LINDA 917 and duo Coralia with Ceridwen McCooey, Lindberg immerses herself in new explorations of abstract improvisation and composing using electronic effects to expand her artistic language.
Her music is a unique space where Scandinavian pop music, freely improvised experimental music and jazz are allowed to coexist and build the foundation on which she tells her very personal and intriguing stories.

Lindberg’s music has been featured at festivals such as Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Stockholm Jazz Festival, Ystad Jazz Festival, among others. Her debut album “Before You Go”, was ranked as one of the top 10 albums 2022 by Jazz magazine Orkesterjournalen. She has recently released 2 singles in anticipation of her second album which is expected  to be released in 2026.

Alicia has also been featured in the Jazz Education Network’s 2025 “Young Composers Showcase”, as a finalist in the 2022 Ella Fitzgerald Vocal competition and Next Jazz Generation at Ystad Jazz Festival in 2021. She continues to develop her unique songwriting style and has been showcasing her vocal and compositional talents with performances at John Zorn’s Experimental NYC venue The Stone, the US premiere of Carla Bley’s Escalator Over The Hill, and the Copenhagen Jazz Festival.
